Baphomet

from $30.00

Baphomet: master of the liminal.

my take on the iconic, occult figure oft misrepresented as a stand-in for Satan. Baphomet (embodied as part animal-part human, part femme-part masc) occupies the liminal & exists beyond the binary. Baphomet represents duality - the breaking down & blending of linear time & space, gender, species, elements & our very understanding of existence.

shown on a throne of earthen wood, the tradition “solve/coagula” (dissolve/coagulate) represented as air passing through them into water & vice versa, surrounded by fiery cosmos, on an intangible plain lit by a moon…but not our moon…

9x12” print of original artwork by Kita (that’s me!) printed & packed in my very own studio in a biodegradable cellulose sleeve. Story card included.
