Dianthus

$30.00

Dianthus: Vengeful Elemental of Fire

She shares her name with the Fire Witch blossom, Dianthus, both with their faces cast upwards, relishing the radiant heat of Father Sun’s vibrant rays. Solar powered, Dianthus absorbs the Sunshine, transmuting it into the lava that courses through her veins, the very mana she subsists on, the glowing embers of her body. Some say staring into the sun will drive you mad…but it’s when Dianthus is robbed of her beloved Sun that she is thrown into true Lunacy.

Beware the Solar Eclipses, for in those moments when Dianthus feels the cold of the sunless sky, when she is snapped from the trancelike hold of her Sun worship that her pure firepower is without direction, boundless, uncontained. In this brief, desperate state she seeks to fill the world with the blinding fiery heat of the Sun she can no longer find - flames leaping from her fingertips, all consuming, heedless…

So light a candle for Dianthus during the Solar Eclipses, let her continue to see flame & light while the Sun play hide & seek, & let us pray she is appeased lest her flames consume us all…

9x12” print of original artwork by Kita (that’s me!) printed & packed in my very own studio in a biodegradable cellulose sleeve. Story card included.
